Worshippers of God, in community, on mission for christ.
CrossRoad Church can be defined in three words: Worship, Community and Mission.
Worship: The gospel makes us worshippers of the true and living God. Through the gospel, the Father seeks to make people true worshippers, people who worship God alone through Jesus Christ alone (John 4:23). Therefore, we are committed to public worship that is God and gospel-centered. Whether that is in our song lyrics, our attention to the reading of scripture, prayer, giving, and the sacraments. We will also encourage Christians to have robust lives of public and private worship.
Community: None of us are perfect. None of us have arrived. The point is that we not only want more Christians, we want better Christians. We want to be disciples who are growing in more love for God, more love for others, deeper in the knowledge of His Word, more obedient to what He says. We are imperfect. But we are following a perfect and awesome Savior…and we are growing into His image
Mission: In the Bible we are told to go and make disciples of all the nations. So while we want to focus on the quality of disciples not the quantity, we also want to see great numbers of people coming to faith in Jesus Christ. We are to go everywhere and take the gospel to everyone, teaching them what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
All of this is summed up in our mission statement:
We Are Worshippers Of God, In Community, On Mission
